Lakewood Dog Park

If you aren't from Cleveland, you just don't understand how excited Clevelanders get when the weather starts to get warm. Well today it was in the mid to high 60's in early March. So what did we all do?! We got the hell out of our houses and went for walks, bike rides, and if you are a dog lover like myself you went to Lakewood Dog Park! Now there is a dog park in Tremont, but it's just not the same. Now I have gone to Lakewood Dog Park for years and years, but today it was CRAZY! I have never seen so many people and dogs there! It is a great place for your dog to socialize and play and everyone is always wonderful and nice there. (of course they are nice they are DOG people!)

Another great thing about this dog park is that it's located in the Metroparks so once your pup is done playing with their dog friends you can take them for a nice walk through the trails and/or bike paths. My dogs are exhausted now and probably will sleep for days! Here are some pictures of our fun day together!
Look at ALL the people & dogs!

Homemade Dog Treats

Pin It The dogs loved these, however it's hard to tell cause they pretty much eat whatever. At least this way I know where the ingredients came from.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cubes beef bouillon cube
3/4 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Lightly grease one cookie sheet.
  2. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and allow to cool.
  3. Combine the flour,  egg, oil, beef broth and brown sugar. Mix well and knead dough for 1 minute.
  4. On a floured surface roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. You can make them into dog bones or just into small balls.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes and allow to cool.
